During the Covid 19 pandemic we have listened to the Government advice and that of Public Health England with keen interest to ensure that our working practices are as safe as they can be for a return to work. This is a very challenging task and we have not only read the formal Government advice but we have consulted our staff to ensure they feel safe and confident in their duties.
We are fully aware of the responsibility that has been placed on our industry so we at Chapplins will be doing our utmost to ensure you and our staff are safe throughout your house moving journey.
Our offices, will in line with the government and Public Health England guidance, be doing the following:-
Prior to the appointment we will ask you some Covid-19 related health questions and ensure we know if you are a vulnerable or shielded member of the public.
Let you know that the staff and viewers visiting your home are well and symptom free.
Clearly inform you of what you need to do prior to a viewing and how it will be carried out.
Prior to viewings make sure you have had a virtual viewing on line where available so you have as much information as possible before making an appointment to physically view.
Again we will ask Covid-19 related health questions before the appointment and make sure only persons from the same household attend the viewing. We politely ask that no children accompany at this time. You will be made aware of how the viewing will be conducted whilst we are still following the social distancing regulations.
For all appointments carried out social distancing will be strictly followed and PPE is available for all our staff.
To ensure continuity of service to our clients and customers our offices are set up so that some staff are still working from home. This means that should one person show Covid-19 symptoms they will not have been in contact with everyone in the office meaning our service to you will continue uninterrupted.
The full Government advice that we will all be following can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/government-advice-on-home-moving-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak#advice-to-the-public
Please do read the section on advice to the public that will explain our new practices and our staff will ensure you are confident how your appointment will look in our ‘new normal’
