Energy Performance Certificates

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required whenever a property is built, sold or rented. It is a requirement that the EPC is ordered before you market the property and once obtained it is valid for 10 years.

The EPC contains information about a property’s energy use and typical energy costs and recommendations on how to reduce energy use and save money. Each property will receive an energy efficiency rating from A to G (A being the most efficient).

At Gusterson Palmer & James we have two options available for you should you require an EPC. Through our association with TEAM we have a long-established relationship with a conveyancing partner that as part of their conveyancing package will provide a free EPC. Alternatively, we can put you in touch with a local assessor who can provide you with a certificate at a competitive rate.
